Jim Martin, RFC, AAMS

Financial Advisor / President

"My goal is simple: to help my clients live more enjoyable lives with a little help from smarter investment portfolios."

As the president of Martin Wealth Solutions, Jim Martin’s philosophy is to keep his clients’ needs at the center of every decision. To him, financial planning is more than strategies and statistics; it’s about creating enduring personal relationships with his clients to help them live their dreams.

Prior to becoming an independent financial advisor, Jim worked his way to senior management at a national bank — until the 2008 market crash changed his outlook. After seeing so many lose so much, Jim left the management side of finance in order to work with people he knew he could help. Soon after, he founded Martin Wealth Solutions.

Jim earned the Registered Financial Consultant (RFC) designation as well as the Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation from the College of Financial Planning.

Jim resides in the valley with his wife, Theresa, and sons, Kyle and Barrett. He is active in his church as well as a number of community organizations. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, fishing, beekeeping and visiting national parks.​

Theresa Martin

Financial Advisor

Theresa helps clients reach their financial goals while also preparing for the unforeseen expenses that often arise as retirees age.

Theresa and her husband, Jim, have two sons, Kyle and Barrett; a cat, Rocky; and a dog, Abby. Theresa enjoys spending time with family, traveling to new places and enjoying the many hiking opportunities in Virginia.

MICHAEL WADDELL

Financial Advisor

Michael is dedicated to working with our clients to help them achieve their goals and fund their dreams through personalized service and long-lasting relationships.

Prior to joining Martin Wealth Solutions, Michael served as a Financial Advisor with Red Grouse Capital Management and Raymond James Financial, working with individuals, small businesses, and non-profit clients.

Michael and his wife, Katie, have 3 children, Gabriel, Mia, and Levi; and a black lab named Frisco. Michael is heavily involved in his church; and is an avid outdoorsman and a mediocre golfer.

WHITNEY COLEMAN

Marketing & Events Coordinator

Whitney always maintains an upbeat, can-do attitude.  Her attention to detail means that our events and meetings go smoothly from concept to completion.  She holds a bachelor’s degree from Radford University. Whitney and her husband, Johnny, have two children, Ainsley and Ellis.  She enjoys spending time outdoors, crafting with her children and traveling as often as possible.

TIFFANY SINK

Client Services Administrator

Working closely with Jim and our clients, she assists with seamlessly opening new client accounts and the onboarding process.  She sets high standards and expectations to meet each advisor and client’s needs by providing assistance in a timely, friendly, and proactive manner. Tiffany and her husband, Erik, reside in the Roanoke area with their two children, Corbin and Stella alongside their three cats, Mister, Roni and Kona Lisa.  She enjoys an active lifestyle, traveling to beautiful places and discovering good food.
